Maxxmar Window Fashions

Recently we had an issue with the battery pack of our motorized patio door blind and contacted Lynn Callen-Avidan (Richmond Hill, Ont. store) who was the sales representative we dealt with when purchasing it a few years ago. With her considerable help we identified the suspect part. She immediately ordered the part, and gave us suggestions to help us in installing this part by ourselves, eliminating a service call that would have incurred a cost. When the part arrived and after a visit to the store for advice, we were able to complete the repair by ourselves. Lynn will certainly be our ‘go-to’ person for any future window covering needs. She is an extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. and an outstanding representative of the Sun Shades Window Fashion team.

We previously had 4 window shades purchased and installed in our kitchen and living room back in 2020. All of the details surrounding choosing the shades, measurements, and instalation were expertly handled by Lynn at SunShades Window Fashions. They continue to look great and operate well (see photo) so when we determined that we needed a blackout blind for our kitchen backdoor, we went back to Lynn to see what could be arranged. Our kitchen backdoor is largely a solid window glass that opens to our backyard. We have a backyard neighbour who has lighting in their backyard which is extremely bright, shines through our kitchen door and drives us crazy. These lights would be at home at Pearson airport! Lynn again expertly showed us a number of options and we selected one that would work. While the project was small, Lynn gave full attention to our needs. She was once again very professional, knowledgeable about the options, prompt in her responses back and forth over a few days and the information was accurate. The blind arrived in her shop earlier than she predicted and was installed a few days later by Mark. The installation job (see photo) was expertly done. We had a minor operational hiccup with the blind due to our fault which was corrected quickly by the staff at Sun Shades Window Fashions. The "runway" lights from the backyard neighbour are no longer visible with the blind pulled down. The blind is easy to pull down and up. Success!

Lynn is very professional, detail-oriented, and responsible, with an excellent service attitude. Every time I have an issue with my blinds, she responds very quickly and takes care of it right away. She always has a bright smile, and every interaction with her is such a pleasant experience. When my next home is finished, I will definitely come back to Lynn to help design all the blinds and curtains for the entire house. I highly recommend everyone come to this store and ask for Lynn!
