QSCC&V. - OUTSTANDING Quality, Service, Customer Care & Value is what I received when I visited the Richmond Hill Branch of Sun Shades at 1:00pm on Monday. Was greeted immediately by Decorator/Sales Consultant JANE who listened intently as to why I came in. The reason was that one of my home valences, almost 40 years after its original installation, had separated from the wall and had come down, and I was looking to have it put back up. Jane said "it's not the type of job we usually do" but sympathetically said she still might be of help.
She placed a call to Lynn, an associated Decorator/Sales Consultant, who was off-site that day, explained my predicament, agreed with Jane's assessment But she too said she might still be able to help. I left Jane my contact information.
Arrived home 1 hour later and had 2 messages left by Jane to call back, which I did. On that call, Jane asked if I could be at home between 4-6pm to which I said yes, but why? Her response was that her installer HELEN would be dropping by to do my repair for which she quoted me a very fair and reasonable cost.
At 4:45 Helen appeared, quickly assessed what needed to be done, went to her vehicle, brought in her ladder and some tools and single handedly installed this approximately 9 foot long and quite heavy valence, all in approximately 45 minutes. FANTASTIC!
But wait. At 7:30pm Lynn calls me to ask if I'm completely satisfied with the job? In this day and age and especially in Toronto, who else in ANY service business delivers this highest of level care and service? In my opinion, if this were the Olympics, this remarkable trio would be Gold Medal Finalists.
